In this page you will see all of our plans month by month for the whole year 2023 according to our program. 

Month 1 (January 2023)

Promotion of the project, finding the participants for the teams, creation of the teams - Creation of the webpage of the project.

First, we need to define the whole group of marginalized people of our community will be in the teams of the program. We want to create 2 - 3 teams of participants according to their age (one group for participants from the age of 8 to the age of 13, second group of from the age of 13 to the age of 18 and third group participants above the age of 18 till the age of 30) so to be able to work with them during the period of the 12. So, first month is going to be in the promotion of our plan, printing reflets and giving them in all houses of the village, online promotion of the project in Facebook and in Instagram through the pages of ACPELIA and the page of Community Council of Pissouri since we are going to cooperate with the Community Council in the whole duration of the program. We already discussed with them the possibility of needing a place for implementing the activities if our groups are over 5 participants in each group.

Also, Creation of our project will be done this period.

Last 5 days of the month our coach will make interviews with all the participants so to make the teams of our project for the whole implementation of the remaining months. 

Month 2 (February 2023)

Getting to know each other - ice breaking activities - knowing yourself knowing better the others - energizers and ice breaking with beginning of language lessons - inclusion for all - theater activities and Culture of Cyprus

At first, we want all the participants to feel safe and free to express themselves so we will start with some non-formal activities to get to know each other, using funny and creative activities that it will not be necessary to express themselves with words, but it can be with movements in a way that will allow to break the ice between them. Each participant will have time to express their expectations, their fears, and their contribution to our project. We will use many energizers and theater activities that will help them to feel that they are accepted exactly as they are and to promote emotional awareness and empathy with others but also to develop self-confidence. Also, because many of our participants can be from many countries and some of them may don't feel comfortable to speak in Greek, we intend to give Greek lessons with a non-formal way (role play, improvisation etc.) but also every participant will have the chance to introduce their language and their culture so everyone can learn something new in a fun and creative way and to feel supported by others, as a big multicultural family. This activity is going to continue every month with a different theme so participants at the end since most of them will have different national backgrounds to be able to speak Greek language for different themes. First lessons in the language are going to be lessons for knowing each other and Cyprus culture  

Month 3 (March 2023)

Being good with myself, getting better with the others - Improvisation with theater activities, gymnastic and Yoga Activities for better Mental Health and self - improvement.

As we mentioned before, we want to include all people and to learn more about their culture and their way of life. Beside the theater activities, we also want to maintain our mental health and our personal development through the arts. We will introduce yoga that we will combine with stories and theater (small performances) and breathing activities. Furthermore, we will use journaling at the beginning of the session and some other questions can be answered at the end of each day, as an evaluation. Each participant will be an accountability buddy (a person at the group that can talk and check each other's progress in relation to their goals) and each month they can talk together and check what has changed. It's important to know that someone is aware of you and is helping you to achieve your goals and it makes you more motivated to fight for. Also, at the end of each day we will give some time for discussion and evaluation. It's important to get feedback constantly and see what we can improve and what is their real need now. Apart from yoga, we will also do gymnastics and it's very important because many people need it but they cannot afford it.

Greek lessons this month are going to be in theater activities for ourselves and also in mental health - activities will always be explained in both languages (English and Greek) so as to have better communication with all the participants.

In this month we had 2 activities with our volunteers one was done on March 11 and the second one on March 18. Teams of volunteers and participants from our area joined us in a journey of non formal educational activities and hiking in Pissouri. More photos and experience you can find here:

Month 4 (April 2023)

Physical Education month and feeling good with our body - gymnastic sessions and Yoga Activities.

One of the members of our group is a physical education teacher, and she is going to create a personal program for gymnastic and feeling good with ourselves. Each one of the participants will have different needs and we are going to work in smaller groups and personal activities for each one of the members of each team so as to make them feel better with themselves and with the others. With the personal care of this member of our team, the trainer can do a personalized plan related to their needs and she can also show them some workouts to do at home if they want to. At the end of a gymnastic session, we will always do relaxation with meditation, to get rid of the tension of the body. Meditation is an amazing tool that can increase focus and concentration, improve self-awareness and self-esteem, lower levels of stress and anxiety, and foster kindness. Meditation also can benefit the physical but also mental health and it's a valuable tool that every participant can use in everyday life. At the end of the month each of the participants will have a plan for his/her own physical condition and he/she will be comfortable with the whole team of the program. A group activity will be organized in the village with dance and gymnastics with all the participants before the new year eve - also involving people from the village so as to feel the participants more comfortable at their hosting village.

Month 5 (May 2023)

Month with traditional Food, Music and dances from all the countries of the participants for Inclusion

In this month we will connect our activities more with our traditions and we will start from the food. Every country has some famous dishes (food/sweets) and is also connected with their history and their culture. So, we start from the Cypriot cuisine and we will cook some traditional food all together with the help of a member of our team (Antonis is a chef) and some traditional sweets and then all the countries will represent their tradition. We will also show them some traditional dances and hear traditional music but also the music that we hear in our days in Cyprus. So, this month is going to be a multicultural month since we want apart the vision of Cyprus culture participants in the program to be inspired and cook for us with us and also show us traditions from their countries and their civilizations. We want through this month's activities all the group and all the participants to be a multicultural group were all to know about all cultures. By this, participants will feel more inclusive in the local society and they may be more comfortable with their culture.

Month 6 (June 2023)

Month for Traditional Arts, and Non-Formal Education Activities with Arts for inclusion. Pottery and Designing with rocks of the beach.

In Pissouri we have some artists which are doing traditional arts like pottery and also designing with rocks creations. We are going at the beginning of the month to organize a workshop with these traditional artists so to learn how we are creating from soil and rocks and then in second workshop (maybe 3 to 4 meetings of the participants with the team of the program) now only with the participants we will try to make that piece of art that can represent the tradition but also themselves. In this workshop participants will try to represent their selves in Traditional Arts with our group and they are going to represent their culture in Pottery or in Arts with rocks. At the end of the month, we are going to have a lot of creations were with all of the others creations and posters will be in an exhibition which will be organized on summer in the square of the village so all the people of the village to come and see their creations, their feelings and their cultures through their own thoughts. We believe that with our help all of us (participants and team) will be now as one team and will work all together including them to the total dynamics of the group.

Month 7 (July 2023)

Mission Impossible Activities - Village treasure hunting Activities - History of the village - learning the place that you are hosting.

In this month we are going to have 2 activities that participants will have to do some missions in the village so to learn about village culture and history. In these missions inside the village, participants will have to do tasks like to talk to a local resident and ask him something about the village and it's a nice way to get know it better but also to feel included, or to find some places in the village so to learn about the history of the village. They are going to have certain time to do these tasks and they are going to express their feelings and emotions for this inclusive activity in the village. Furthermore, each participants or group of participants from different countries they can organize a game or a theater performance to help us to get know each other better. We believe that with that way, they will feel more closer to their countries because when you go to live in another country, and you live with another way of life; people tend to leave behind their habits and their customs because they feel that they don't have the space to "express" them. With that way they can bring their "home" to Cyprus.

Month 8 (August 2023)

Environmental Activities for Inclusion - Love yourself, with loving the environment so to be able to love the others month

This month will connect our activity with sustainable and environmental - friendly practices. Pissouri is the third largest village district in the Limassol district of Cyprus and is located in the Southwest of Cyprus just off the A6 motorway midway between Limassol and Paphos. The main Pissouri village is located about 3 kilometers from the sea on the Cape Aspro ridge, and about 500 feet above sea level. The whole stretch is a gorgeous spot where the waves that softly lap up against a pebbled and sandy shoreline, partly cradled by the rocky cliffs that drop down to the sea, making the whole setting picture perfect. Pissouri is also known about its hiking Nature trails (the area has 8 hiking trails) that providing some spectacular view and an amazing geological experience. This month we are going to have at least 3 hiking activities with photography activities in the hiking routes of Pissouri. We want through this activity all the group of participants with the team to have the chance to learn about our village to see the beauties of the place that they are hosting with their families and to love their place our place, all the people's place. We believe that through these hiking activities and photo competition will give the chance to participants to express their selves through their photos. In all hiking activities we are going to have breaks with deep ice breaking activities so to have more knowledge about all and all the participants to get out of the box.

Hiking was done in November because in August we didnt have a lot of activities to do due to the fact that it was so hot for outside activities

Month 9 (September 2023)

Cleaning the Beach and Summer Activities - Clean your Environment - Clean your soul and accept the others.  

Pissouri beach is located on the southern point of the old village. It stands out for its fine golden sand, multi-colored small pebbles, moderate waves and generally for its crystal-clear azure sea. Protected by Cape "Aspro" spectacular white cliffs, one on each side, Pissouri Beach reveals its unique, calm and peaceful profile. Its incomparable beauty, combined with the light and the white color of the two cliffs, reflects a magnificent and a spectacular recreational hub for all the visitors. It is notable to be pointed out that our Beach is annually awarded with Blue Flag, depicting its full compliance with the water quality standards, safety, and the provision of services. In this beach we are going to organize cleaning activities and inclusion through sports activities - activities are going to be open for the public to take part and we will be happy to see our group growing with participants from all the ages so to be our village an inclusive society. This month we are not going to have Greek lessons since Greek will be for all our main language so all of us to be inclusive in our community and being acceptable from all the people.

Month 10 (October 2023)

Sustainable Practices and Environmental Sustainability Practices for Inclusion - Love yourself, with loving the environment so to be able to love the others month

Cleaning Our Environment in two faces: First face is going to be the cleaning of our neighborhoods and in this cleaning, we are going to take our artistic recycling materials for our arts grafts that we are going the last 2 weeks of this month. So first 2 weeks we are cleaning our places and finding materials for the next 2 weeks of the program.

Through our activity, we want to raise awareness about environmental good practices and create a group that it will be responsible to pick up the garbage in his neighborhood or to the place that he is going so if everyone adopts this practice, is going to create a big wave of environmental awareness. Of course, we want also to organize events that we going to clean some places of the village and we will open to join us as many people as is possible. We also want to create workshops (theatre, arts & crafts) with non-formal activities at the village to spread environmental awareness. We will turn some of the rubbish or some used products that we don't need any more, into works of art. Finally, we will learn how to compost in our house. Of course, we will use reusable products and we will reduce the use of paper or plastic to the minimum.

Month 11 (November 2023)

Preparation and Dissemination month

Preparation month for the great exhibition in Pissouri Square. Reports, posters, art creations of these 12 months will be prepared and will be finalized so to be able to represent them in a week exhibition to the square of our village. Beyond the preparation of all these reports of our activities, emotions and feelings will be prepared and dissemination of our program will start so to complete the webpage of the project and also to complete the activities of all months in our webpages. Also a dissemination event with local authorities and NGO will be done.

Month 12 (December 2023)

Big Exhibition of our work

The exhibition will be combined with another big activity of the organisation about Christmas in Pissouri. Third week is going to be the exhibition of all our creations in Pissouri Square and the last week of the month our last week of the program will be all the material uploaded in the webpage from our last dissemination activity and participation in activities.
